‘I’m Jasmine, an Irish-born, Byron-based watercolour artist, who found her way from the wild hedgerows of County Kerry, to the rainforest ridges of the Northern Rivers.

I paint outside whenever I can, sitting with the view, watching the light shift over the sea or through the canopy, and I bring what I find back into my off-grid studio, where I work with natural earth pigments and hand-gathered ochres from the land itself.

My paintings are made to be felt. The colour, the movement, the quiet hum of a place you love, that’s what I’m trying to put on paper. Whether it’s a whale surfacing at sunset in Byron Bay, flannel flowers caught in afternoon gold, or a surreal image that came to me in a dream, each piece begins somewhere true.
